Hope and Change

I have based everything I am and hope to be on the belief of change. For those who know me. Know the mantra, All things are possible . . It is exciting to see change brought to the forefront in this historical election. To dare to dream and the feverish intent to bring those dreams into existence is amazing and can also be draining. To stay focused and keep on track when presented with the highest mountains requires soul understanding of hope and change.

When I began niche marketing the legal field, I was met with emails from attorneys saying (cease and desist), verbally told (I had no right), and the one that caused my heels to dig in very deep, (you know this is a good ole boys club). In that instance, I decided that would change. The easy part of this business is marketing prospective clients for attorneys, the challenge is breaking down the barrier of the “good ole boy” mentality. I was even told (it’s not your service that is the problem, it is who it is from. The plate it is served.) The attorney who shared this, in his view, was being helpful. I sat there quietly and listened and thanked him. On the ride home my mind was full of how dare you tell me I am too black!!!!! This is America. A place where I can be anything I want and choose to be. That day I learned the unwritten of this, only if we let you. Looking back, he was helpful. The words he spoke that day were truthful. Words I needed to hear.

I have kept my eyes on the prize for sometime now and have the scars and wounds to prove it. I also have a track record of producing income, like no other, for criminal defense attorneys. Change and hope are my lifeline. Without the belief of change and the gift of hope, all the verbal attacks, and the unforgiving fact that I must work three times harder for success, would be unbearable.

I hold on to, and speak of change and hope, to anyone who will listen, because only through change will your worth be validated. Change your thinking and you will change your life. Get over the plate it is served and get that money. It is my hope that change comes soon!
