Web Design & Web Development: Is there a difference?

Ciao bella gente,

You bet’cha there’s a difference. Web design is totally about the look and feel of the site, while web development is about the back-end of a website. Developers make sure things run properly. They focus on how a site works and things get done. Developers keep a site running. They are excellent programmers. They know stuff like php, HTML, and understand how forms should function. They build your databases and mobile apps.

Web Designers focus on how site visitors view the site. Designers build graphics (logos, web components) and create a great visual experience. Designers ensure a sites useĀ as a marketing tool. They understand how to create share of mind and encourage site visitors to really get lost in its offerings.

There is a difference, however over the years my development skills have strengthened. The truth is, web designers must know basic web development to complete a web project.

So there it is . . . for more information, simply ask.

Infinitely yours,

Gabby Lovelace :)
